As an independent consultant, I tested my mettle as a creator of
software. I conceived, designed and built a web-based, collaborative
project management system for four local consulting businesses. I also
built custom extensions to salesforce.com for a financial services
client.
- Gathered and distilled requirements using interviews and on-line surveys
- Combined diverse and sometimes conflicting requirements into a cohesive set of features agreed to by each company

During my 5 years in finance, I was impressed by technology's
power to transform industries. I decided to find a job in software. At
Vignette, I taught myself how to write code and rose from QA through
engineering to become a Dev Lead and then a Senior Program Manager
(which, at Vignette, was a product management role).

- Developed the first trial edition of Vignette Portal under a
tight and public deadline and coordinated a seven person team including
products, marketing, engineering and legal. The trial edition required
new product features, a website, new support processes and
