As an independent consultant, I tested my mettle as a creator of software. I conceived, designed and built a web-based, collaborative project management system for four local consulting businesses. I also built custom extensions to salesforce.com for a financial services client.

During my 5 years in finance, I was impressed by technology's power to transform industries. I decided to find a job in software. At Vignette, I taught myself how to write code and rose from QA through engineering to become a Dev Lead and then a Senior Program Manager (which, at Vignette, was a product management role).
